Puerto de Iguazu

On Sunday we left Buenos Aires and went up to the Iguazu falls in north of Argentina. The falls are in the triangle of Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina. Instead of a 18 hours bus trip we took the 1 hour flight from Buenos Aires. After the check in at the hotel we went down to the port. For tomorrow we booked the tour through the national park. Hope to shoot some nice fotos.

Montevideo

Next day I went by bus the capital of Uruguay: Montevideo. It is only a two hours bus ride. I did not like the city at all. It was just to busy and dirty. Also it was raining all day so I stayed at the hotel. Best was the steak at the Mecardo del puerto. For 400 gr. of best steak I only paid
7 €. After one day I went back to Colononia and tomorrow Iwill go back to BA for a football game at the Bombonera.

Colonia de Sacamento

On Monday I went for three days by Ferry to Uruguay. My first stop was Colonia de Sacramento which is a small town on the Rio de la plata just on the other side of BA. The old part of the town from the 17th century is very nice and rebuild and has a lot of small museums and restaurants.

Football in Buenos Aires

On the first weekend I watched three games. First game on Friday was Racing vs. Colon followed by the game Argentinios Jrs. vs. Banfield. On Sunday I visited the game River Plate vs. Chacarita in the Monumental stadium. The first two games were a bit boring becaus we saw only a 1:1 draw. But the atmosphere was just great a lot of singing, jumping ansd some fire works. The third game ended 4:3 and we saw some great goales. I booked the games with a travel agency and had always a guide (Santiago) on my side how explained a lot about the teams and stadiums.

The old harbour from Buenos Aires was reconstructed and is now the place to be. I I had a good lunch next to the sea side just next to the rio de la plata. Normally the wether should be rainy and cold but when I arrived to BA it was just sunny and warm.

La Boca

On the guided city to we also passed the famous imigrant neighborhood "La Boca" with
even more famous stadium "La Bombonera".
The houses were only painted for the tourist next to them you have the regular slums. When we visited all those sights I was very happy that a guide was next to me and that the safe drive home was already organized.

The photo says it all "Welcome to la Boca"

Transport 2

Bikes are normaly used for transport

Trip to Taj Mahal

During the weekend we made a trip to the famous Thj Mahal which is 200KM away from
New Delhi. Our ride took around 4-5 hours for one direction. There was a lot of traffic and
no ending bumps on the "new highway". Traffic is unbelievable busy in India. For me it seems that there are no rules at all so it is not a big surprise that it took us so long

The Thaj was bulid around 1631 built by Mugul Emperor Shan Jahan in memory of his favorite wife which had born him 14 children and than died. Further info at wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taj_Mahal)

I have never seen so much scrap on the streets. This seems to be normal in India.

That there are a lot of cows on the street is not a lie

You can find so many differen types of cow!!

After arriving to the Oberoi hotel Agra, we stayed at the Oberoi in New Delhi,
we used teh free shuttle to get to Taj

Bad luck with the weather. It was raining all day. This humidity was killing me.

All in all it was a very nice trip but this seeing on one side the Taj and on the other side the kids
